Primary Two – Katie morag

In p2 they have been learning about Katie Morag whilst starting this they have watched two short stories about it called “Granny Island” and ” The Two Grannies”. After watching this they were to write out what happened in the two stories. I have talked two some of the primary twos and all of the have said that they love all the stories about Katie Morag and hope to continue.

We are learning about Mini beasts. We have made a Wormery because our topic is mini beasts and we needed some sand and soil and leaves. I don’t know how many worms there are.

Nanjala Primary Malawi Update

The new Standard 8 classroom

Yesterday I received some photographs from Owen our partnership co-ordinator from Nanjala Primary. The new classroom is nearing completion

image[5] and local craftsmen have completed 20 of the new desks which will make learning much easier for the Standard 8 children ( S1 high school level). The completion of this new classroom means that the children can stay at the school for another year and won’t have to walk the 6km to the nearest school with Standard 8 provision. The building was funded by local government with the Parent Committee providing the water and mortar. So far we have raised nearly £280 from our ‘Making a Mile for Malawi’ fundraising initiative to help pay for these desks. Please keep the 1p and 2p coins coming in to help us meet our £500 target.
