Vowel House Story and Vowel Sounds

Here is a copy of the Vowel House story which helps pupils identify vowel sounds using actions and window shapes. The window shapes represent the shape or movement of the mouth.

The “Alternative Vowel House Sounds” link explains other ways of making the same sound.

Download Teams to Desktop (easier files access). Instructions.

For smoother access to Teams and for accessing files, I strongly recommend you downlaod Microsoft Teams to your tablet, or even better, download it to your desktop.  STEP 1 – Click the install button at the bottom left corner of your screen as shown in the attached screenshot (it looks like a TV with an arrow pointing down).  STEP 2 – Open the Microsoft Teams icon by double clicking it on your desktop.  STEP 3 – Sign in using your glow username and passward which you have been using all week so far.  STEP 4 – You are good to go and hopefully the files should become accessible.  It worked much better for me.

Can everyone please do this so we can have a smooth day of online learning.  Mr Blair

Problem Solving P7s

Primary 7S have been busy working collaboratively to solve a couple of problems.  We used a guess, check and improve approach for making shapes that don’t contain squares, and to extend ourselves we counted how many squares we could make.  For our number problem we had to use the information that we had and work backwards.  We worked really well together and Mrs Kinnear was very impressed with our positive attitude to learning.
