Mrs Sutherland is delighted with our homework. We are thinking of words which have our new sound in them and are drawing pictures to show these as well as practising our letter writing. Have a look!

At the beginning of the week we decide what we would like to do for our Friday Reward Time. This week we could choose construction, art, sand, house/kitchen, smart board games or reading in the cosy corner. Here are some of us enjoying our reward for great effort all week!

This morning we shared a book with our reading partners. We took it in turns to tell the story using not words but pictures. We know what a book might be about by looking at the cover and that helps us choose one we think we might like. Here we are enjoying our books!

We had a lovely sounds activity this afternoon. One of our pupils brought in a bingo game which his mummy made to share. We looked at the bingo boards and decided that it might be tricky to get all of the letters covered as we have not learned them all yet, but we could give it a go! We looked at the objects on our sounds table and tried to remember what they begin with. If we saw the letter shape on the board we could earn a cat or a bat or a pumpkin. The children loved this and our bingo caller tried very hard with the signal from the tambourine to keep order in a very excited classroom! Thank you from Primary 1!
