We had a very special visitor yesterday, probably on his way to the North Pole we thought. Thankyou to Santa for stopping off at our party and for the lovely presents. We were able to tell him what we are hoping he will leave under our trees.

Primary 1 were fabulous in their Nativity this year. It was Cock a Doodle Christmas at Uphall Primary!
Thanks to everyone who helped with rehearsals, music, costumes, learning lines, the wonderful stable for the animals – the list goes on. The children have told us that they really enjoyed taking part in the show which is lovely to hear.

It was a very exciting day in Primary 1. Not only did we get to wear something festive, but we also had our Christmas lunch today. As you can see, we have had great fun!
All of the Primary 1 pupils have a big Primary 7 buddy to help them with their learning thought the year.
Already the Primary 7s have made a great job of helping the Primary 1s settle in to school. They have read traditional stories together and recently learned about keeping safe on Bonfire Night.
Today the children started a technology project together. Here they are making their advent calendars in preparation for 1st December. There was lots of great discussion about numbers and how to assemble the different parts of the calendar.
We all earned our reward time for good listening and excellent behaviour, especially on our cinema trip! Some of us went to the other P1 class for a change. Here we are enjoying reward time.
