Listening and Talking

P3/4 have shown good listening skills whilst their friends in class show and tell objects from their holiday.

This week (Friday 21st September) we focused on objects found at or near the beach (or bought/found/won on a beach holiday).

What’s your favourite colour?

Welcome back to my new P3/4 class!  We have been spending time getting to know each other this (short) week, including when our birthdays are, and what our favourite TV programmes, sweets, food, pets and colours are.  Well done for organising and displaying information about our favourite colours.  Here they are busy at work…

Maths in context

This week, P3/4 have been busy doing some independent quizzes and tests using the netbooks and headphones.  Afterwards, we counted in fives and made a number line to check we had all our equipment in order.

Sports Day

Well done to all P3/4s who took part in Sports Day this year.  We had a lovely sunny day for all the outdoor events.  All children enthusiastically took part and some even got 1st, 2nd and 3rd places in the flat race, obstacle race and sack race.  Well done everyone!

Mini water cycle

P3/4 have been learning about the water cycle.  In groups, they made a mini water cycle, demonstrating condensation with shaving foam (a cloud) and precipitation with blue food colouring (rain).  We have also set some coloured water by an open window in the sunshine to demonstrate evaporation…results of this to follow…
