This week is the transition week for the P7 pupils at Broxburn Academy. Today they attended a maths challenge morning, Wednesday and Thursday the children will follow their S1 timetable and on Friday they will take part in a sports day. Good luck!

P6 – Lendrick Muir
Our P6 children are away all of this week to Lendrick Muir for some outdoor learning. Hopefully the weather will be kind to them and they all have a fabulous time.
Nursery – Short week!
We had a very short week in the Nursery so when we did get together, the children enjoyed developing their language through play. We look forward to having a full week together to play next week. We’ll be learning all about growing sunflower seeds next week. Who can grow the biggest sunflower? I bet I can!
Primary 5-Fractions
We will be continuing to work on Fractions in class this week. You could develop your knowledge of proper fractions, improper fractions and mixed number fractions by playing some of the games on Topmarks.co.uk (7-11 Years Learning Games).
P6/7 – King Alexander III
This afternoon our class worked in groups to perform some drama based on the events in 1286 when the King of Scotland fell off his horse in a tragic accident to meet his death. The children worked well and are looking forward to learning more about the events which led eventually to the Battle of Bannockburn.
