Today P6H were learning how the digestive system works. They tracked the journey that beans on toast would take through the digestive system and are now able to name all the main body parts that are involved.
This week in Maths the children have been learning how to calculate a percentage of an amount. They have been putting their skills into practise using a real life context of a sports shop and calculating the new reduced prices of things.
P6H had a Victorian School day last week. The children came dressed to school in Victorian outfits and learned their 3 Rs – Reading, Writing and Arithmetic. The children were all very well behaved and enjoyed the whole experience. Mrs Hunter enjoyed it too!
Congratulations to the 16 pupils that were awarded their certificates and badges this morning for passing level 1 of the Bikeability scheme. Happy cycling!
Today all the P6 children took part in a cluster cross country event at Kirkhill Primary. Everyone managed to complete the course successfully and the boys even managed a first place position. Well done!
