- Your common words for today are, the, of, and, a and to.
Numeracy
- Mental math as on timetable.
- Begin to learn number bonds within 10. (See number bond sheet within home learning pack).
Afternoon
- Mrs Grenfell will provide an art activity for you.
Just a little extra fun for our P1s… we all know how much Miss Mackay loves a penguin so check out the live webcam of the penguins at Edinburgh Zoo. There are other animals for you to look at as well. You could draw a picture of the animals you look at.

We’ve just been watching the penguins, and there is a lady in with them just now with dark hair and Arlo is convinced the Miss Mackay has sneaked into the enclosure.
Aww I wish! Unfortunately not but maybe you could write a wee story about the day Miss Mackay became a penguin keeper. I would love to read that.

Hello, Glad you enjoyed the zoo cams. If you practice the common words and then we would like the children to write 3 sentences with the common words in them. Focus on using a capitol letters and full stop for each sentence. Hope that helps.
Xander has worked really hard this morning. He’s done PE with Joe Wicks, some mental maths, spelling and a little bit of writing, We’ve also made a penguin for Miss Mackay called Pacee

Be warned tomorrow though you might have sore muscles after your work out, Joe Wicks is very energetic. Good Afternoon! Lilien is working hard to do all the things what is given everyday, she is really happy to do it. She is missing the school and wants to go there. We’ve just watched the zoo cams, we saw the penguins, the panda and the sleeping tiger, unfortunatelly Tanami the koala was somewhere else. Lilien made a picture about them, she has a penguin with pink eggs (it is true, Easter is coming soon 🙂 )
