Morning all, here is what we would like you to work on today. Please also see plan for more details.
Literacy
• Your common words for today are, in, is, you, that and it.
Numeracy
• Mental maths as on timetable.
• Using weekly plan continue with language of chance using the fairy tale ‘Red Riding Hood’.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RT-EwqgHqCk (Story of Little Red Riding Hood).
• Challenge:
In the story of Little Red Riding Hood, Red walks through the forest to visit her Grandma.
What is the chance Red will see?
a) A tree b) A wolf c) A deer d) Santa Clause
• Now have a think of other things that are certain, possible or impossible to happen in the forest. You could draw pictures of your different ideas.
Afternoon
• Mrs Grenfell will provide an art activity for you.
Miss Mackay and Mrs Mckay have enjoyed hearing how some of you are getting on through our blog. It would be lovely if everyone could drop us a little note on the blog to tell us how you are getting on and what you have been up to.
Hi Miss MacKay and Mrs McKay
I have to tell you that Gracie is doing good missing all of her friends though😥.
She is trying her best to do her work at home👍.
Hello, we are both so glad to hear that she is trying her best. That is all we can ask. Lovely to hear from you 🙂
Great to hear that you are working so hard. Really good idea to write the numbers and the number words out for reference. Enjoy art this afternoon. x
Good morning, we are missing the children too.

This might help with remembering number names in a fun way?

Thea and I are trying our best but I’m unsure if we’re actually learning anything 😂
Trust us you will be. It is just such a different experience for us all. Keep up the good work x
Hello, our little ones will know so much more when we see them. I know how popular the Numberblocks are and hope the Alphablocks are just as successful. Glad the art activities are going well-we might have an egg-citing challenge coming up tomorrow for you in preparation for Easter! Thank you for the support you are giving at home.
I second what Mrs McKay has said. It will be wonderful to see how much progress our P1s will have made when they come back to school. Thank you as well to everyone who has so far left us a comment. It has been lovely to hear from our P1 family. Miss Mackay x
