Hello to everyone in Nursery!
I hope you have all managed to have some fun in the snow. Here are some suggestions of activities to do at home while Nursery is closed.
If it is safe to play outside:
- Make some patterns in the snow
- Compare footprints with someone else. Who has the biggest/smallest?
- Look for bird or animal tracks
- Build a snowman or a snow animal
Celebrate World Book Day:
- Sit down and enjoy reading a book
- Talk about your favourite part of a story
- Can you spot any patterns in your books?
- Draw a picture about a story you have read
Other ideas:
- Draw or paint a winter picture
- Go on a pattern hunt at home. How many different patterns can you spot?
- Help with the laundry by matching pairs of socks
- Sing some nursery rhymes. Can you make up another verse for ‘Here we go round the Mulberry Bush’? There are lots of other songs on this website to enjoy too! http://www.bbc.co.uk/learning/schoolradio/subjects/earlylearning/nurserysongs/F-J/mulberry_bush
- Try some of the fun activities on this website http://www.wordsforlife.org.uk/3-5/fun
Stay safe, keep warm and have lots of fun!
Mrs Donald
