Lots of you have already finished or are close to finishing the challenge \u2013 well done!<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #800080\"><u>Learning Grid<\/u><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #800080\">In the Health and Wellbeing part of the grid you were asked to try a new food.\u00a0 <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #800080\">Have you managed to have a go at this?\u00a0 <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #800080\">Sometimes when we try something new for the first time we can be very unsure if we like it or not, it can take trying a food more than three times to know for sure if you like it.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #800080\">Two years ago I tried olives for the first time when I was on holiday, they have quite an unusual salty taste and I really was not sure I liked them.\u00a0 However I then tried them again and I was really surprised that I found that I quite liked them.\u00a0 Now olives are a real favourite of mine!<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #0000ff\"><u>Numeracy<\/u><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #0000ff\">Our numeracy learning this week is all about the numbers up to 20 and\/or up to 100.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #0000ff\">Learning our numbers to 100 is very useful as we use numbers every day in our lives.\u00a0 Some board games need you to know your numbers.\u00a0 One example is snakes and ladders.\u00a0 If you have this game at home challenge someone to play with you.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/blogs.glowscotland.org.uk\/wl\/stniniansps\/files\/2020\/04\/snakes-and-ladders.png\" rel=\"lightbox[22971]\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-medium wp-image-22973\" src=\"https:\/\/blogs.glowscotland.org.uk\/wl\/stniniansps\/files\/2020\/04\/snakes-and-ladders-300x248.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"300\" height=\"248\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #0000ff\">If you don\u2019t have this game use this link here to download a snakes and ladders board (or you could even try to make your own board \u2013 remember it doesn\u2019t need to go all the way to 100 if you cannot fit that in on a page).<\/span><\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/blogs.glowscotland.org.uk\/wl\/stniniansps\/files\/2020\/04\/Snakes-and-Ladders-Board-Game.pdf\">Snakes and Ladders Board Game<\/a><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #ff0000\"><u>Literacy<\/u><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #ff0000\">Have you listened to the story \u201cChristopher Nibble\u201d yet?\u00a0 Try to use the wordboost words today when you are chatting with people.\u00a0 Ask someone to help you keep a score of how many times you manage to use one of the boost words.\u00a0 Can you beat 5?<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #ff0000\">Here is the video link for \u2018Christopher Nibble\u2019 if you haven\u2019t managed to listen to it yet.
