{"id":22197,"date":"2020-03-22T16:37:13","date_gmt":"2020-03-22T16:37:13","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/blogs.glowscotland.org.uk\/wl\/stniniansps\/?p=22197"},"modified":"2020-03-22T16:37:13","modified_gmt":"2020-03-22T16:37:13","slug":"p3-4-weekly-news-16","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/blogs.glowscotland.org.uk\/wl\/stniniansps\/2020\/03\/22\/p3-4-weekly-news-16\/","title":{"rendered":"P3\/4 Weekly News!"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong><u>Learning Overview from Primary 3\/4<\/u><\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Primary 3\/4 have chosen to share the following learning from this week!<\/p>\n<p>In <strong><u>Literacy<\/u><\/strong> we have been improving our accuracy and understanding at using their, there and they\u2019re.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>we should use \u2018they\u2019re\u2019 as a shorter way of writing \u2018they are\u2019<\/li>\n<li>we should use \u2018their\u2019 when we are writing about something \u2018belonging to\u2019<\/li>\n<li>we should use \u2018there\u2019 when we are writing about \u2018position\u2019<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>We also wrote Haiku poems about Spring and they had to have a syllable rhythm of 5, 7, 5.<\/p>\n<p>In <strong><u>Maths<\/u><\/strong> we were using what we have learned so far to convert digital times to analogue times and vice versa.<\/p>\n<p>For example<\/p>\n<p>\u2018quarter to one would be 12.45\u2019<\/p>\n<p>\u2018half past six would be 6.30\u2019<\/p>\n<p><strong><u>HWB<\/u><\/strong><\/p>\n<p>In PE we have been learning some of the rules for Basketball matches eg \u2018bouncing the ball when running\u2019 and \u2018taking two steps with the ball in your hand\u2019<\/p>\n<p>As a class, most of Primary 3\/4 tried hard to keep running for the whole of the Daily Mile.<\/p>\n<p>\u2018We kept encouraging each other to keep going and that helped us\u2019<\/p>\n<p><strong><u>Pupil Voice &#8211; Our Highlights\u2026<\/u><\/strong><\/p>\n<p>We practised our times tables. We had to make sure we had the correct answers so we could complete our coloured mosaics properly. It was fun.<\/p>\n<p>We are very proud at how hard we worked and focused\u00a0 when completing our SNSAs as well.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong><u>Home Learning Opportunity<\/u><\/strong><\/p>\n<p>This idea of creating cloze sentences is a good one! \u00a0Make some sentences with spaces for words.
