We started by having pencils and other concrete materials to help us. Now it\u2019s the end of the week and we have looked at counting backwards, using a number line and using a rekinrek to help us.<\/p>\n<p><strong><u>Parental Involvement<\/u><\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Try this mental maths train game. Choose the subtraction function and then choose subtraction up to 20:<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.topmarks.co.uk\/maths-games\/mental-maths-train\">https:\/\/www.topmarks.co.uk\/maths-games\/mental-maths-train<\/a><\/p>\n<p><strong><u>Pupil voice<\/u><\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Scott \u2013 I liked writing about our local area. It\u2019s in Scotland.<\/p>\n<p>Mara \u2013 I played with Scott and Igor in our shop in our play area.<\/p>\n<p>Anna \u2013 We wrote about our local area and made leaflets and posters so that other people would want to visit.<\/p>\n<p>Joshua \u2013 We started Scottish dancing in PE.<\/p>\n<p>Pati \u2013 We had to dance with partners and we did skipping and turning.<\/p>\n<p>Rojin \u2013 I liked doing Irish dancing this week after school. I like Irish skips and keeping my legs straight.<\/p>\n<p>Emilie \u2013 I liked doing Boost Words. One of them is \u2018pounce\u2019.<\/p>\n<p>Lucy \u2013 That word has the \u2018ou\u2019 sound in it which is the sound we learned.<\/p>\n<p>Liam \u2013 I liked maths.
