Today we worked in groups to solve clues to find the culprit in our murder at the movies problem;<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\" data-width=\"550\" data-dnt=\"true\">\n<p lang=\"en\" dir=\"ltr\">There&#39;s been a murder!<\/p>\n<p>Today we worked in groups solving clues which lead us to the culprit &#8211; thanks to <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/TwinklScotland?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">@TwinklScotland<\/a> for a wonderful resource &#8211; we had to use a range of mathematical strategies in collaboration with each other to find the guilty one!<a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/hashtag\/MathsWeekScotland?src=hash&amp;ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">#MathsWeekScotland<\/a> <a href=\"https:\/\/t.co\/Lz8TtvygoC\">pic.twitter.com\/Lz8TtvygoC<\/a><\/p>\n<p>&mdash; Mrs Conway\ud83d\ude4b\ud83c\udffb\u200d\u2640\ufe0f (@Mrs_Conway10) <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/Mrs_Conway10\/status\/1180097626445926402?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">October 4, 2019<\/a><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p><script async src=\"https:\/\/platform.twitter.com\/widgets.js\" charset=\"utf-8\"><\/script><\/p>\n<p>Tangrams proved super tricky &#8211; maybe it is easier using the online game?!<\/p>\n<p>https:\/\/www.abcya.com\/games\/tangrams<\/p>\n<p>Have a go as a family &#8211; which of you is the best problem solver?!<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Our Risk Factory visit was exciting &#8211; all of P7 together!<\/p>\n<p>We don&#8217;t want to say too much to keep the mystery alive for future classes.. but we were given the opportunity to react to a number of different scenarios;<\/p>\n<p>What would your child do if they were in a house and a fire started?<\/p>\n<p>What would they say if they had to phone 999, do they know what information they would need?<\/p>\n<p>Can your child keep themselves safe by making safe choices and following safety information?<\/p>\n<p>There were a number of interesting discussions had on the day &#8211; the fire brigade supplied us with leaflets, but we will continue to look into fire safety, especially in the run up to Bonfire Night.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Next week we will be presenting short 2 minute presentations on our animal science topic!<\/p>\n<p>I can&#8217;t wait to hear them all \ud83d\ude42<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Some of us chose pieces of work for our WOW wall today &#8211; if you child has a device that they can bring to use in school, I can highly recommend downloading the OneNote app and logging in using their Glow login &#8211; it makes it much easier to access their profile.
