{"id":20814,"date":"2019-03-29T10:29:48","date_gmt":"2019-03-29T10:29:48","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/blogs.glowscotland.org.uk\/wl\/stniniansps\/?p=20814"},"modified":"2019-03-29T10:32:19","modified_gmt":"2019-03-29T10:32:19","slug":"p2-weekly-update-12","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/blogs.glowscotland.org.uk\/wl\/stniniansps\/2019\/03\/29\/p2-weekly-update-12\/","title":{"rendered":"P2 Weekly Update"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>This week we had a visit from Super Movers and they were teaching us the importance of keeping moving when we&#8217;re learning to stay fit and healthy.\u00a0 They brought with them the SPL league trophy and also the Mascot Lomond.\u00a0 It was so much fun dancing with Lomond.<\/p>\n<p>In Maths this week we continued to learn about the properties of 3D shapes.\u00a0 We also looked at the strange spelling of the word sphere, we learned about ph saying f and also about magic e.<\/p>\n<div class=\"jetpack-video-wrapper\"><iframe loading=\"lazy\" title=\"Alphablocks : Magic - Series 1\" width=\"840\" height=\"473\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/uCvtMzUL0lw?feature=oembed\" frameborder=\"0\" allow=\"accelerometer; autoplay; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe><\/div>\n<p>We have also been busy making and creating some Mothering Sunday surprises.<\/p>\n<p>As part of our Literacy work we tuned into an Authors Live event run by the BBC and watched Lauren Child, the author of Charlie and Lola and Poet Laureate, discuss how she got her ideas to write.\u00a0 It was great to revisit a class topic that we learned about earlier in the session.<\/p>\n<p>In our numeracy work we have been developing our skills in tackling holistic questions which require us to use a variety of skills.\u00a0 We had to use our reading for understanding skills, problem solving skills and our multiplication\/addition skills.<\/p>\n<p>Have a lovely weekend.<\/p>\n<p>Mrs Currie<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>&nbsp; &nbsp; This week we had a visit from Super Movers and they were teaching us the importance of keeping moving when we&#8217;re learning to stay fit and healthy.\u00a0 They brought with them the SPL league trophy and also the Mascot Lomond.\u00a0 It was so much fun dancing with Lomond.
