It is at the end of the word \u00a0swing.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Writing<\/p>\n<p>Adam \u2013 \u201cWe were writing a recipe for How to Make Rice Crispy Cakes.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Julian- \u201cI tried to sound out the word chocolate.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Joshua- \u201cWe had to include the openers from the mighty writer board.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Emilie- \u201cOur recipe had to be in order so that people knew when to do each part.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Lucy- \u201cWe drew a picture of the ingredients.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>In numeracy this week we have been using our addition and subtraction skills to complete fact families.<\/p>\n<p>Isla- We use 3 numbers to make 2 adding sums and 2 take away sums.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>If we had the numbers 5, 2 and 7<\/p>\n<p>Liam- We could do 5 + 2 = 7<\/p>\n<p>Syzmon- We could do 2 + 5 = 7<\/p>\n<p>Joanna- 7 \u2013 2 = 5<\/p>\n<p>Joshua- 7 \u2013 5 = 2<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>We enjoyed playing the fact families game on the smartboard.<\/p>\n<p>https:\/\/www.topmarks.co.uk\/number-facts\/number-fact-families<\/p>\n<p>Choose option up to 10 or if you find this easy choose option up to 20 for a challenge!<\/p>\n<p>We also extended our knowledge of subtraction by using it to complete missing number calculations.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>If it said\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 &#8211; 2 = 8<\/p>\n<p>We can play this game at home to work out missing number calculations.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/flash.topmarks.co.uk\/4728\">http:\/\/flash.topmarks.co.uk\/4728<\/a><\/p>\n<p>Lily- You start at the 8 and work back the way to add the 2. This will help you find the answer which is 10.<\/p>\n<p>In Science this week we have been learning we have enjoyed making moon sand, we used our problem solving skills to figure out how to measure and mix the ingredients.<\/p>\n<p>We have been learning about the rotation of the Earth in relation to the sun. We used a torch to face the globe. We rotated the globe and pointed out that when 1 half of Earth is illuminated the other is in darkness.<\/p>\n<p>We have been making pictures to represent the sun shining onto the earth to make it daytime.<\/p>\n<p>Our learning in science led us to ask how close Earth and other planets are to the sun.
