Phonics<\/span><\/p>\n We have had a revision week of the sounds we have been learning this week in phonics. We have focusing on the digraph sounds we have learned. We know that a digraph is 2 letters which go together to make 1 sound. We will be doing a lots of work on the difference between ‘w’ and ‘wh’ and ‘j’ and ‘i’. Please talk to us about this at home.<\/p>\n Numeracy<\/span><\/p>\n We have been continuing to learn about subtraction in our numeracy lessons. We have been working hard using the vocabulary of before, after, more and less to help with our mental subtraction skills. We have been completing written subtraction number stories to put our use of these skills into practise. Next week is British Science Week and we will be beginning a science topic which will take us up to the Easter holidays. Our new topic is all about Space.<\/p>\n There is no pupil voice this week as today we were too busy preparing for our banquet!
