{"id":20305,"date":"2018-12-14T11:58:18","date_gmt":"2018-12-14T11:58:18","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/blogs.glowscotland.org.uk\/wl\/stniniansps\/?p=20305"},"modified":"2018-12-14T11:58:18","modified_gmt":"2018-12-14T11:58:18","slug":"p1b-news","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/blogs.glowscotland.org.uk\/wl\/stniniansps\/2018\/12\/14\/p1b-news\/","title":{"rendered":"P1B news"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Joanna- This week in phonics we have been learning about the long ee sound.<\/p>\n<p>Emilie- We now know that two letters can make one sound and for the ee sound two e sounds are together.<\/p>\n<p>We have been working on our letter formation skills and showing our understanding of how to join the two letters.<\/p>\n<p>Lucy- The two e sounds join when we write the ee sound.<\/p>\n<p>Joshua- ee is is a stretchy vowel and our lips \u2018smile\u2019 when we say this sound.<\/p>\n<p>Lucy- ee + e make different sounds<\/p>\n<p>When we sing the ee song we do not sing &#8216;or&#8217; as the donkey in the vowel house has a sore throat so can only say ee.<\/p>\n<p>https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=Q3sugn25FJQ<\/p>\n<p>Adam- We have also been learning the oo sound.<\/p>\n<p>Shakti- Two o sounds make the oo sound.<\/p>\n<p>Shay- The o sound and oo sound are different.<\/p>\n<p>Lewis- oo is a long stretchy sound.<\/p>\n<p>Lily- The ghost says the oo sound in the vowel house.<\/p>\n<p>When we write oo we join the 2 o sounds together.<\/p>\n<p>https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=pxiRp9Vxz98<\/p>\n<p>We will continue to practise blending these sounds with other sounds.<\/p>\n<p>This week we had our nativity performance. Miss Boyes thought that we were amazing!<\/p>\n<p>Joshua- I liked being Joseph and saying my lines .My favourite song was The King of All Kings<\/p>\n<p>Adam- My favourite song was Don\u2019t tell Herod.<\/p>\n<p>Shakti- My favourite song was Stargazing.<\/p>\n<p>Khyla- I liked dressing up as an angel.<\/p>\n<p>Shay- Stargazing was my favourite because I liked the actions.<\/p>\n<p>Liam- My favourite song was Heaven on Earth.<\/p>\n<p>Connor- I loved being the first person to speak and introducing the whole show.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/blogs.glowscotland.org.uk\/wl\/stniniansps\/files\/2018\/12\/IMG_28381.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone  wp-image-20315\" src=\"https:\/\/blogs.glowscotland.org.uk\/wl\/stniniansps\/files\/2018\/12\/IMG_28381-300x224.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"433\" height=\"323\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Have a lovely weekend from Miss Boyes and Primary 1B!<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Joanna- This week in phonics we have been learning about the long ee sound.
