It means you run away if you\u2019re scared.<\/p>\n<p>Amelia: belong is a boost word. My eyes belong to me.<\/p>\n<p>Roma: disappear is a boost word. It means you can\u2019t see something.<\/p>\n<p>Luke: staring is a boost word.<\/p>\n<p>Rojin: stare means you look at something a long time.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><u>Phonics<\/u><\/p>\n<p>Anna: we learned the \u2018x\u2019 sound. It is a yellow and a blue sound.<\/p>\n<p>Lucas: it sounds like the c and s sound like \u2018cs\u2019.<\/p>\n<p>Roma: six has the \u2018x\u2019 sound.<\/p>\n<p>Luke: box has the \u2018x\u2019 sound.<\/p>\n<p>Pati: \u2018x\u2019 is a quiet sound.<\/p>\n<p>Mara: fox has the \u2018x\u2019 sound.<\/p>\n<p>We have been playing this game this week to help develop our reading skills.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.ictgames.com\/machine.html\">http:\/\/www.ictgames.com\/machine.html<\/a><\/p>\n<p>This is the song for the &#8216;x&#8217; sound:<\/p>\n<p>https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=cw5cmTFd8Es<\/p>\n<p><u>Numeracy<\/u><\/p>\n<p>Shea: in the tuff tray you had to make numbers using the numicon and that made the numicon messy.<\/p>\n<p>Luke: on the bus game, you roll the dice and see what number you get. If you get 6 you move 6 and there was a sum on the square and you need to do the sum. If the sum was 2+1 it would be 3.<\/p>\n<p>Roma: with the cups game, you needed to throw a ball in the cup. Me and Freya played it. We got 1+0, that made 1.<\/p>\n<p>Amelia: I made my own ten frame. I made 4 + 4 for 8.<\/p>\n<p>We have been playing this game this week to help develop our addition skills:<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.topmarks.co.uk\/Flash.aspx?f=PostSortingcalculationsv2\">https:\/\/www.topmarks.co.uk\/Flash.aspx?f=PostSortingcalculationsv2<\/a><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><u>Nativity<\/u><\/p>\n<p>Mara: It is called \u2018Stargazers\u2019.<\/p>\n<p>Luke: I like singing the songs especially \u2018Don\u2019t tell Herod.\u2019<\/p>\n<p>Carter: I like singing about Herod having a party.<\/p>\n<p>Layla: I like doing the actions.<\/p>\n<p>Roma: I like speaking on stage.<\/p>\n<p>Shea: I like singing \u2018Don\u2019t tell Herod.\u2019<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><u>Writing<\/u><\/p>\n<p>We were inspired after watching a clip of the movie Wall-E to design our own robots. We then wrote about what our robots would do. Here is the clip we watched:<\/p>\n<div class=\"jetpack-video-wrapper\"><iframe loading=\"lazy\" title=\"WALL\u2219E\u2019s \u201cDay At Work\u201d\" width=\"840\" height=\"473\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/QHH3iSeDBLo?feature=oembed\" frameborder=\"0\" allow=\"accelerometer; autoplay; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe><\/div>\n<p>Jane: My robot made butterflies.<\/p>\n<p>Shea: My robot would do my homework.<\/p>\n<p>Luke: My robot would do my homework.<\/p>\n<p>Carter: My robot would make my dinner.<\/p>\n<p>Logan: My robot would drive me to school.<\/p>\n<p>Michelle: My robot would fix my bike.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><u>Christmas Fair<\/u><\/p>\n<p>Shea: We made reindeer food.<\/p>\n<p>Carter: we had to scoop the food into bags, tie it and put labels on it.<\/p>\n<p>Roma: We made a big poster. It said \u2018Reindeer Food \u00a31\u2019.<\/p>\n<p>Rojin: we made stockings to decorate the hall.<\/p>\n<p>Carter: we had to set up the stall. We put the reindeer food on the tree and we had to put more on it when it was selling out.<\/p>\n<p>Lucas: we had to sell the reindeer food.<\/p>\n<p>Roma: I liked helping and collecting the money.<\/p>\n<p>Lucas: I liked all the money as well.<\/p>\n<p>Shea: I was shouting \u2018who wants some reindeer food\u2019.<\/p>\n<p>We will be selling reindeer food next week if you didn&#8217;t get the chance to buy some at the Christmas fair. Please bring \u00a31 to school next week if you wish to buy some reindeer food.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><u>Our Highlights of the Week<\/u><\/p>\n<p>Scott: I liked singing the Herod song.<\/p>\n<p>Celine: I liked hanging reindeer food on the Christmas tree.<\/p>\n<p>Olivier: I liked writing about the robot that would make my dinner.<\/p>\n<p>Igor: I liked decorating the Christmas tree.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Word Boost Carter: the story was called I don\u2019t want to go to bed.
