{"id":19503,"date":"2018-09-21T12:37:46","date_gmt":"2018-09-21T12:37:46","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/blogs.glowscotland.org.uk\/wl\/stniniansps\/?p=19503"},"modified":"2018-09-21T13:24:16","modified_gmt":"2018-09-21T13:24:16","slug":"p2-weekly-update-2","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/blogs.glowscotland.org.uk\/wl\/stniniansps\/2018\/09\/21\/p2-weekly-update-2\/","title":{"rendered":"P2 Weekly Update"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>A short week, jam packed with exciting learning!\u00a0 Here is an overview of our week.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Literacy &#8211;<\/strong> Mrs Young worked with the children on Wednesday and focused on the last Charlie and Lola story <em>&#8220;Whoops but It Wasn&#8217;t Me!&#8221;.\u00a0 <\/em>From this the children made some Charlie and Lola puppets and then wrote a story about a time when they accidentally broke something.\u00a0 Our star writers were Micah, Robert and Oliver, well done!\u00a0 Next week we will be visiting the local library and we will be able to borrow a book to bring back to school.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Topic<\/strong> &#8211; Our class focus on The Charlie and Lola stories has now finished and we are looking ahead to next week when our science block of work begins.\u00a0 Our Science work will initially focus on water, so the children have been sharing their ideas as to what they would like to learn about water.\u00a0 Here are some of the suggestions;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Thea &#8211; find out what is in water (what it is made of) and why it is clear?<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Abigail &#8211; how much water does it take to fill a cup?
