This week in P1B we have been learning more sounds.<\/p>\n

Jiya- “We have learned the a<\/strong> sound.”<\/p>\n

Micah- “and the t<\/strong> sound.”<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

Abu bakr- “The a<\/strong> sound is a black tunnel sound.”<\/p>\n

Thea- “The a<\/strong> sound lives in the Vowel House at the end of the tunnel.”
\nHannah- “You have to open your mouth wide to say this sound.”
\nAbigail- “The t<\/strong> sound is blue because it is a tongue tip sound.”<\/p>\n

Alasdair- “T<\/strong> is a short, bouncy sound.”<\/p>\n

We loves singing the songs to help us learn our sounds.<\/p>\n

This week was maths week and we enjoyed taking part in different maths activities.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

Our maths activities were learning our number bonds to 10 using the hand frames.<\/p>\n

Annabelle- “We had to make 10 with the dinosaurs.”
\nYou had to choose to add on 1, 2, or 3 dinosaurs each time and the first person to get to 10 was the winner.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

For the three block tower game
\nAbigail- \u201cyou had to make tower blocks with 3 cubes but they had to be different and then you coloured the blocks in on your sheet.\u201d<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

Abu bakr- At another station we \u201cused the colourful beads to make shapes.\u201d<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

For measure this week we have been learning the meaning of the words
\nChristopher- \u201cfull\u201d, \u201chalf full\u201d and \u201cempty\u201d.<\/p>\n

Cooper- \u201cIf it\u2019s full the water will be all the way to the top of the bottle.\u201d<\/p>\n

Riley- \u201cThe water would be to the middle when it is half full.\u201d<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

Leon- \u201cIf the bottle is empty that means that there is no water.\u201d<\/p>\n

We filled bottles to make potions with Miss Boyes and we glued crepe paper onto bottle templates to show the different amounts.<\/p>\n

On the smart board we enjoyed playing this game<\/p>\n

For science this week we went into the hall with the musical instruments.<\/p>\n

Yasmin- \u201cWe were finding out how to make quiet sounds and loud sounds.\u201d<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

Micah- \u201cTo make a loud sound with the tambourine you would shake it very quickly.\u201d<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

Amelia- \u201cIf you were making a quiet sound with the tambourine you would shake it slowly.\u201d<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

Jiya- \u201cIf you were hitting a drum to make a loud sound you would hit it hard.\u201d<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

Yasmin- \u201cIf you were hitting the drum to make a quiet sound then you would hit it softly and gently.\u201d<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

For RE we listened to the creation story.
\nHannah- \u201cGod made the world in 6 days and on the 7th<\/sup> day he took a nap to rest.\u201d<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

We went into the school garden to find things that God created and we took photos with the ipads.<\/p>\n

God created the-
\nChristopher \u201cmoon and the sun.\u201d
\nCooper \u201cAnimals\u201d.
\nAnnabelle- \u201cTrees and plants.\u201d<\/p>\n

Abu bakr- \u201c The land and the water.\u201d<\/p>\n
