The ‘m’ sound and the ‘c’ sound. We have learned that the ‘m’ sound is a red sound, because we make this sound from our lips and our lips are red. We put jam on our lips and made the long ‘mmmmmmmmm’ sound because the jam was very tasty! The ‘c’ sound, is a yellow sound. We make this sound from the back of our moths, we used a torch to look into the back of our partners mouth and when we shone the torch, their mouth turned yellow! Here are some songs we have learned to help us remember the ‘m’ and c’ sounds.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IFUhr2LToBA

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=C-g13UbDxu0

Next week we are learning the ‘s’ and ‘p’ sounds. Do you have the ‘s’ or ‘p’ sound in your name?

Finally, we continued our ‘Harry and the Dinosaurs’ topic by listening to the story ‘Harry and the Dinosaurs go to School’. We were able to compare the way Harry was feeling starting school with our own experiences. In the story, a boy called Jack named himself Jack-osaurus. We thought this was very funny so painted our own dinosaurs and gave them funny names. Mark’s dinosaur was called Mark-osaurus, Blake’s dinosaur was called Blake-osaurus – you get the idea! We can’t wait to show you our paintings!

Have a lovely weekend,

Miss Meechan and P1M

What a busy week we have had in P1M.
