We have been learning about communicative pairs and how to multiply by 1 and 0.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/blogs.glowscotland.org.uk\/wl\/stniniansps\/files\/2017\/02\/IMG_6627.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-medium wp-image-14911\" src=\"https:\/\/blogs.glowscotland.org.uk\/wl\/stniniansps\/files\/2017\/02\/IMG_6627-225x300.jpg\" alt=\"img_6627\" width=\"225\" height=\"300\" \/><\/a> <a href=\"https:\/\/blogs.glowscotland.org.uk\/wl\/stniniansps\/files\/2017\/02\/IMG_6628.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-medium wp-image-14912\" src=\"https:\/\/blogs.glowscotland.org.uk\/wl\/stniniansps\/files\/2017\/02\/IMG_6628-225x300.jpg\" alt=\"img_6628\" width=\"225\" height=\"300\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Also to develop our understanding of multiplication we have been looking at arrays and writing multiplication sentences to match the array.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>At our station we have been independently matching the communicative pairs and matching arrays to the multiplication sentence.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>We have really enjoyed playing this game to support our understanding of arrays.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.learnalberta.ca\/content\/me3us\/flash\/lessonLauncher.html?lesson=lessons\/08\/m3_08_00_x.swf\">http:\/\/www.learnalberta.ca\/content\/me3us\/flash\/lessonLauncher.html?lesson=lessons\/08\/m3_08_00_x.swf<\/a><\/p>\n<p>Here we are using our plenary wheel to reflect on our learning.<br \/>\n<a href=\"https:\/\/blogs.glowscotland.org.uk\/wl\/stniniansps\/files\/2017\/02\/IMG_6563.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-medium wp-image-14916\" src=\"https:\/\/blogs.glowscotland.org.uk\/wl\/stniniansps\/files\/2017\/02\/IMG_6563-225x300.jpg\" alt=\"img_6563\" width=\"225\" height=\"300\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Miss Boyes emailed a teacher who works in a Primary school on the Island of Muck. The teacher was happy for us to send a letter to her school and she promised she would send us a letter in reply.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>We wrote some super letters telling the children in Muck Primary School all about where we live and our school. We also thought of interesting questions to ask, such as:<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Lennon- \u201cHow many cars are there on the island?\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Ahmad- \u201cWhat do you do for fun?\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Leo- \u201cHow many children are there at your school?\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Vanessa- \u201cWhat are your names?\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Ava- \u201cWe have class mass this week, do you have a class mass?\u201d<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>This week we have been talking about feelings and emotions. We learned about Health and Wellbeing through our Katie Morag topic. After listening to the story, &#8220;Katie Morag and the Tiresome Ted&#8221; we reflected on how Katie Morag feels at different parts of the story.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>On Tuesday it was Internet Safety day we looked at lots of pictures and we had to decide if they were safe to be online or not safe. Together we spoke about keeping private information off of the internet, such as<\/p>\n<p>Lilly- \u201cPhone number.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Angelina \u201cpassword\u201d.<\/p>\n<p>Aaron \u201cHouse door \u00a0number\u201d.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/blogs.glowscotland.org.uk\/wl\/stniniansps\/files\/2017\/02\/IMG_6566.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-medium wp-image-14913\" src=\"https:\/\/blogs.glowscotland.org.uk\/wl\/stniniansps\/files\/2017\/02\/IMG_6566-300x225.jpg\" alt=\"img_6566\" width=\"300\" height=\"225\" \/><\/a> <a href=\"https:\/\/blogs.glowscotland.org.uk\/wl\/stniniansps\/files\/2017\/02\/IMG_6569.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-medium wp-image-14914\" src=\"https:\/\/blogs.glowscotland.org.uk\/wl\/stniniansps\/files\/2017\/02\/IMG_6569-225x300.jpg\" alt=\"img_6569\" width=\"225\" height=\"300\" \/><\/a> <a href=\"https:\/\/blogs.glowscotland.org.uk\/wl\/stniniansps\/files\/2017\/02\/IMG_6572.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-medium wp-image-14915\" src=\"https:\/\/blogs.glowscotland.org.uk\/wl\/stniniansps\/files\/2017\/02\/IMG_6572-300x225.jpg\" alt=\"img_6572\" width=\"300\" height=\"225\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>On Wednesday we went through to the main hall to listen to The St. Ninian\u2019s song that the primary 5 to 7\u2019s had been working on.<\/p>\n<p>Leo- &#8220;The song included the name of the school so that you know it\u2019s about St. Ninian\u2019s.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>Wojciech- \u201cThe words in the song were about \u2018learning together\u2019 because that\u2019s what we do at St. Ninian\u2019s.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Te song is super catchy and we love it.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>We had been preparing for our class mass this week by singing our hymns and reading our prayers.<\/p>\n<p>Our class mass was a lovely way to start our day and we were all listening very well to the Gospel and readings.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Have a lovely February break from P2 and Miss Boyes.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>This week in numeracy we have continued to learn about multiplication.
