Welcome back everyone and a very Happy New Year. \u00a0It was lovely to see all the children today after our Christmas break. \u00a0All set for another busy term in Primary 3.<\/p>\n

This is what we have been doing this short week:<\/p>\n

Maths<\/p>\n

Sophie Young Murray – We were doing tiling with shapes, looking out for which shapes can tile with no gaps in between.<\/p>\n

Alexis had fun doing tiling as she found it very interesting.<\/p>\n

Maliha – We used the netbooks and real 2D shapes.<\/p>\n

Writing<\/p>\n

Daniel – We wrote about New Years Day.<\/p>\n

Michael – We wrote about what we enjoyed from last year and would like to do again this year, we also wrote about our resolutions for this year.<\/p>\n

Reading<\/p>\n

Richard \u00a0– My group got a new reading book and I am enjoying reading it.<\/p>\n

Next week our focus for writing on Thursday is the story of Jack and the Beanstalk. \u00a0If possible, could you either read this story to your child, discuss it with them or watch the story online\u00a0<\/i><\/span>http:\/\/www.bbc.co.uk\/programmes\/b0873p0q<\/a>\u00a0 \u00a0\u00a0<\/i><\/span><\/span>This will be a huge benefit to the children when writing.<\/i><\/span><\/div>\n

We are really excited about our new term and about the new challenges it will bring.<\/p>\n
