This week was cool to be kind week. We have been learning about children\u2019s rights, with a focus on child refugees. We looked at pictures of children who flee their homes to go to safe countries.\u00a0 We discussed the journeys that they make and how they might feel on their journey.<\/p>\n
In class we drew a picture of our own journeys and discussed how we felt on our journey. We learned that the child refugees are not always protected and safe so drew and labelled pictures of things that would help to keep them safe. Here are a few of the things which we included.<\/p>\n
Lilly- \u201cFood\u201d.
\nRyan- \u201cA house for shelter.\u201d
\nMadison- \u201cMedicine in case they get sick.\u201d
\nWojciech- \u201cA blanket to keep them warm.\u201d
\nMarcus- \u201cClean drinking water.\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\u201cThe right to see a doctor.\u201d Lilly
\n\u201cWe have the right to a name.\u201d Alice<\/p>\n
After talking about our rights, we also sang the \u201cI\u2019ve got Rights\u201d song.<\/p>\n
