So much effort has been put into taking part and thank you for all your donations.\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong><u>Roots of Empathy<\/u><\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Last week, we had a lovely visit from baby Kelsey with her mummy and daddy. We couldn\u2019t believe how much Kelsey has changed.<\/p>\n<p>Daniel \u2013 \u2018She is moving her legs and arms more.\u2019<\/p>\n<p>Sophie YM \u2013 \u2018If a toy is spinning, Kelsey can grab on to it now.\u2019<\/p>\n<p>Ola \u2013 \u2018Kelsey is teething now and she is chewing on anything she can!\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Alexis \u2013 \u2018Kelsey\u2019s hair has grown and it looks much darker.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Katie \u2013 \u2018She can roll onto her back as well.\u2019<\/p>\n<p>This week, Mrs Brutin visited us and P3 talked about their achievements and drew pictures of lots of proud moments.<\/p>\n<p>Emma \u2013 \u2018I moved up a level in my dance class.\u2019<\/p>\n<p>Orla \u2013 \u2018My first Brownie badge.\u2019<\/p>\n<p>Emily \u2013 \u2018I went down a big, scary water slide and it was fun!\u2019<\/p>\n<p>Sophie R \u2013 \u2018Riding my bike without stabilisers.\u2019<\/p>\n<p>Kate \u2013 \u2018When I got Star Writer!\u2019<\/p>\n<p><strong><u>Cool To Be Kind Week<\/u><\/strong><\/p>\n<p>As part of the UNICEF Outright Campaign, P3 have been learning about some refugees and their stories of how they have had to move away from their Syrian homes. We have had lots of discussions about how these children must feel moving to a strange place and how the new children they meet can make them feel welcome.<\/p>\n<p>Maliha \u2013 \u2018Teba had to move house six times because of the war in Syria.\u2019<\/p>\n<p>Sophie D \u2013 \u2018We had to read about Malak who had to leave her home in Syria and travel by boat to Greece. She was scared on the boat. Then we answered questions.\u2019<\/p>\n<p>Niamh \u2013 \u2018We also learned about a refugee called Bashir who lived in a refugee camp in Jordan. In writing we had to compare Bashir\u2019s life with ours and write what was the same and what was different.\u2019<\/p>\n<p><strong>In RE,<\/strong> we have been preparing for our Class Mass on 24 November. Part of homework next week, will be to practise singing our entrance and exit hymns.\u00a0 The hymn words will come home on Monday but here are two weblinks to the instrumental\u00a0 versions of our hymns \u2018Here I am Lord\u2019 and \u2018Bind Us Together\u2019. \u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=knUvfN0GIKs\">https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=knUvfN0GIKs<\/a><\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=dLaadLgsV14\">https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=dLaadLgsV14<\/a><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>P3 have been learning about the life of Saint Margaret as it was her feast day this week.<\/p>\n<p>Richard \u2013 \u2018St Margaret cared a lot for the poor people. She washed their feet and took food to them by herself even though she was a Queen.\u2019<\/p>\n<p>Robbie \u2013 \u2018She was a very kind person.\u2019<\/p>\n<p><strong>In Number, \u00a0<\/strong>P3 continued to develop their recognition of Odds and Evens through sorting activities. \u00a0We are really getting used to Number Talks and like the chance to talk about our own strategies as well as listen to the strategies that others have.<\/p>\n<p>We have finished our work on <strong>Time<\/strong> for the moment but we will continue to use our class clock to develop our understanding every day.<\/p>\n<p>Michael \u2013 \u2018We were matching quarter past and quarter to the hour with digital times.\u2019<\/p>\n<p>Jack &#8211; \u00a0\u2018We worked with a partner to make our own matching quarter past and quarter to game.\u2019<\/p>\n<p>Emily \u2013 \u2018We were using our applying and creating skills to make the game.\u2019<\/p>\n<p>We have also finished learning about Skeletons. We recorded our learning in our Talking Book and checked that we had answered all the questions we had in the beginning!<\/p>\n<p><strong>Christmas CD &#8211; P3 will be recording their class Christmas song next week for our whole school Christmas CD. We have loved having her in our class as she has been a huge help to us. We have made her promise to come back and visit so we can show her how much we are learning!
