Activity Instructions – Virtual Sports Day (1)

Literacy

Today’s extra literacy task is to choose a favourite book and settle down to read it for 5 minutes – just like BEAR time in class!  When you have finished your story, perhaps you could draw a picture of your favourite character from your book and choose 6 adjectives to describe the character.  If you can’t find a book at home, there are lots to choose from on the Oxford Owl E-book library  .  You could also choose a book from your Read, Write, Count bag.

Maths

Today’s extra maths challenge is on Sumdog.  We have set up special a Sumdog challenge to help you to build your skills on adding and subtracting to 100.  We can’t wait to see all your super work on Sumdog!

Have a lovely day.

Primary 3/4 News

“This week was super” said Adrin 🙂

On Wednesday with Mr Hunter in our outdoor learning we were creating an Olympic torch using junk modelling and sticks from outside.

“We had to use a cup and pierce a hole in the bottom with the stick. Then we had to put the stick in the cup and wrap it with tinfoil and put tissue paper in the cup.” said Ailie.

“The tissue paper was for the fake fire.” said Jay-P

“I enjoyed and it was really fun being creative.” said Shannon

“I put a stick at the bottom and then stuck another stick so that it would be a big torch.” said Hannah

“We also had a mini relay race with our torches. We had to jog instead of running in case our torch broke.” said Haseeb

“We hope you have a nice long weekend.” Said Aoife
