P3/4 Weekly News

P3/4 have had a super week this week. Here are some of our highlights;

Sophie – I enjoyed the chocolate tasting this week. They were delicious! My favourite was the Galaxy chocolate.

Dexter – I liked learning all about the colours in Spanish.

Jarred – I liked playing Handball in PE this week.

Klaudia – I am loving reading our class novel ‘Charlie and the Chocolate Factory’.

Esmee – I liked learning about 2D shapes with Mrs Howley.

Kerr – I liked learning how to play handball this week.

James – I loved the chocolate tasting this week. I had to be a chocolate judge and give a review on each of the chocolates. My favourite was the normal dairy milk.

Chloe – I liked playing handball in PE this week.

Yasmin – I liked playing handball in PE.

Dawid – I enjoyed the chocolate tasting this week and trying to guess what each one was.

Taha – I liked PE this week.

Kaitlyn – I enjoyed the chocolate tasting too.

Lucy – I enjoyed going to the library at the Lanthorn this week.

Riley – I liked writing this week because we got to write a recipe for our own chocolate bar creation.

Amber – I liked going to the library at the Lanthorn.

Leigha – I liked getting a new book to read in class at the library.

Kayla – I loved the chocolate tasting. Galaxy was my favourite because it was amazing.

Hannah – I enjoyed playing handball in PE.

Ephraim – I enjoyed the practise at the handball festival at PE.

Stefan – I liked numeracy this week counting in 1’s, 10’s and 100’s with numbers up to 10,000.

Brooke – I enjoyed chocolate tasting. I thought the 30% less sugar dairy milk was the best because it tasted smooth.

Thea – I liked playing handball this week.

Kyle – I also enjoyed PE this week.

We have had a great week filled with lots of learning and fun. Here are some of our highlights;

James – I enjoyed Numeracy this week because we were rounding to the nearest 10 and 100.

Ephraim – I liked playing the rounding 3 in a row game.

Stefan – I enjoyed PE this week doing some hand, eye coordination games.

Kyle – I liked playing Handball in PE this week.

Yasmin – I liked PE too this week because we were juggling with bean bags.

Thea – I liked designing a chocolate bar and a sweetie during smart start tasks.

Klaudia – I enjoyed rounding to the nearest 10 and 100.

Kaitlyn – I liked doing the Maths Challenge for rounding. They were very tricky.

Sophie – I liked playing the one word story game we played during writing.

Dawid – I liked designing my own chocolate bar and sweet.

Dexter – I enjoyed playing games in music with Mrs Nichol.

Lucy – I liked playing the rock, paper, scissors ladders when the boys played against the girls.

Riley – In writing this week we wrote a persuasive letter to Mr Willy Wonka to persuade him to give us a golden ticket.

Amber – I enjoyed writing this week.

Brooke – In Spanish we were revising the colours.

Hannah – We learned about the history of chocolate and made a timeline.

Leigha – I liked sharing ideas for our learning on the Pupil Voice are of our planning wall.

P3/4 Weekly News

Here are some of the highlights of our week;

James – I enjoyed writing this week because we were writing character descriptions for the characters in Charlie and the Chocolate Factory.

Kayla – I enjoyed creating silhouette art for Willy Wonka.

Dexter – I liked PE this week. We did juggling using bean bags.

Thea – I enjoyed Numeracy this week colouring halves and quarters.

Yasmin – I liked doing PE this week because we were learning how to play basketball.

Sophie – I liked doing PE with Mrs Wassell. We were playing ‘Plank ladders’.

Klaudia – I liked playing a number games using a dice. We had to roll the dice and decide if we wanted the number to be a hundred, tens or units and the group with the highest number won.

Kyle – I enjoyed playing basketball in PE.

Kaitlyn – I liked doing the Willy Wonka silhouette art.

Jarred – I liked developing my hand eye coordination in PE.

Dawid – I enjoyed writing prayers in RE.

Kerr – I liked doing Music with Mrs Nichol because we got to play games.

Amber – I liked reading this week. We had to read a passage from Willy Wonka about what the Chocolate Factory looked like. We highlighted the important information and then drew a picture.

Stefan – I enjoyed the Willy Wonka art this week.

Brooke – I enjoyed the Willy Wonka art too.

Back to School for P3/4

This week we welcomed back P3/4 to school. It has been a short but busy week getting our classroom ready for the year and getting to know our new class mates and teacher. Here are some of our highlights;

Thea – I liked playing the dice game in PE.

Sophie – I enjoyed doing the all about me art.

James – I enjoyed our smart start challenges this week. They stretched my brain.

Stefan – I liked doing the warm-up  in  PE this week because it was Tag.

Brooke – I liked drawing lots of pictures all about me for Art.

Kayla – I enjoyed doing the all about me art too.

Hannah – I liked doing the dice game in PE too.

Kaitlyn – I liked taking pictures for our birthday wall.

Lucy – I enjoyed working in groups to do some role play in Drama for our class charter.

Dexter – I liked making our termly goals. These help me to learn.

Amber – I liked doing Drama to show how to be ready, respectful and safe.

Kerr – I liked writing this week because we wrote a postcard to Mrs Wassell telling her all about my holidays.

Ephraim – I liked playing in the upper playground.

Klaudia – I liked playing in the upper playground too.

What a fun year we have had filled with lots of lovely memories.

 

Kayla – My best memory from this year is when we went to Mill Farm.

Kerr – I enjoyed sports day.

Amber – I liked finding out Mrs W is my teacher next year.

Kayla – I enjoyed moving up day today because I got to see my new class.

Kerr – I enjoyed the maths challenges this week because it was challenging.

Kaitlyn – I enjoyed sports day because I got fitter.

Brooke – I liked sports day because we got to do lots of fun activities and races.

Myles – I enjoyed sports day. My favourite activity was tug of war.

Amber – I liked sports day and tug of war too.

Sophie – I enjoyed moving up day because I got to make new friends.

Dexter – I enjoyed moving up day because we got to play a good detective game.

Stefan – I liked funky Friday playtime today because I got to play with my sister in the upper playground.

Mackenzie – I enjoyed going to my new class because I got to make a collage for my initials.

Leigha – I enjoyed Sports day because of the races.

Riley – I liked the races in sports day because I came first place.

Esmee – I enjoyed moving up day because I got to see my new class and got to play the detective game.

Ephraim – I liked sports day because I was in the top 3 in the race.

Adam – I liked moving up day because I got to colour.

Dawid – I enjoyed moving up day because we got to do a balloon all about me.

Lucy – I enjoyed PE when we were doing just dance.

James – I liked PE this week doing just dance and in my group we got to do group balances at the end.

Kyle – I liked playing capture the flag in PE because we won!

P3’s Wellbeing Week highlights

This week has been Wellbeing week. Here are our highlights;

Kayla – I enjoyed hanging and balancing in Parkour.

Kerr – I liked balancing and jumping in Parkour too.

Kaitlyn – I liked showing the football coach our tricks in football.

Brooke – I enjoyed football playing rock, paper, scissors with our feet.

Myles – I loved the tough mudder because I like running.

Amber – I enjoyed Parkour because I like balancing.

Sophie – I liked doing the tough mudder getting very muddy.

Klaudia – I liked going to Bankton park.

Dexter – I enjoyed just dance.

Stefan – I liked walking Wednesday when we walked through the woodlands.

Jarred – I liked the parkour when we played the Zombie tag.

Mackenzie – I liked doing tough mudder in the rain.

Leigha – I enjoyed the tough mudder because it was super tough at some parts.

Romera – I liked tough mudder too because I liked getting muddy and wet.

Riley – I liked getting very muddy too in tough mudder.

Esmee – I liked getting a hand massage from the P6 children. It was very relaxing.

Ephraim – I enjoyed doing the Taekwondo because it was fun.

Adam – I liked doing just dance because it was funny.

Sahara – I liked doing tough mudder because I got so muddy!

Hayley – I liked doing just dance.

Dawid – I enjoyed doing Taekwondo because I liked kicking the pad.

Lucy – I liked doing the squat challenge in synergy.

James – I liked doing Yoga because it was very relaxing.

Kyle – I enjoyed Yoga because I got to relax.

P3 Weekly Highlights

This has been a very exciting week for Primary 3. One of the big highlights this week was visiting Mill Farm for our school trip. Check out Mrs Wassell’s twitter page for pictures! Here are our learning highlights of the week.

Kayla – I liked when the farmer brought Susan the sheep out to meet us and we could pat her.

Kerr – I enjoyed working on our rounders skills in PE.

Brooke – I enjoyed going on the nutty bouncer at Mill Farm.

Myles – I liked going on the go-karts on our trip.

Amber – I liked going on the go-karts too.

Sophie – I enjoyed going down the mine at Mill Farm.

Klaudia – The soft play was very fun!

Dexter – My favourite part of the trip was playing in the park.

Stefan – I liked climbing up on top of the tractors in the park.

Jarred – I enjoyed going to the indoor adventure park.

Mackenzie – I liked going to the adventure park too.

Romera – I liked bouncing on the nutty bouncer.

Riley – The train park was exciting.

Esmee – I enjoyed going on the tractor. It was very bumpy.

Ephraim – I liked going through the very dark tunnels in the museum.

Adam – I liked revising division this week.

Sahara – I liked going on the big tractor to see the animals.

Lucy – I enjoyed playing hide and seek in the adventure park.

James – I liked going to the shop to get a teddy for my little sister.

Kyle – I liked going round and round the track on the go-karts.

Dexter – I liked using balance scales to measure how many cubes were equal to objects.

Stefan – I liked doing Harry Potter Maths this week.

Jarred – I enjoyed playing measuring games on the netbooks.

Leigha – I liked NYCOS because I enjoy singing.

Romera – I liked catching the beanbag in PE.

Riley – I liked PE because we got to play rounders.

Esmee – I enjoyed doing Judo because we got to do lots of fun stuff.

Ephraim – I enjoyed doing the amazing, brilliant and fantastic maths challenges about reading scales.

Adam – I liked doing the special sports champions assembly.

Sahara – I liked making lollipops in art.

Dawid – I enjoyed singing songs and playing games in NYCOS.

Lucy – I enjoyed NYCOS too. It was fun!

James –  I liked the assembly on Monday because we were all up and dancing.

Kyle – I liked Music this week with Mrs Smith.
