I found this lovely video last night called ‘I Am With You’ and thought I would share it with you all today (and Olaf always makes me smile!)
Self-Assessment
We are going to use our Growth mindset this week to help us self-assess our learning.
If you are ‘stuck’ or need help remember the importance of the word YET!
“I can’t do this…yet!”
This means we never give up and keep trying! Watch this Sesame Street video about “The Power Of Yet”.
Literacy
We have been trying hard to learn the new sound qu. Have a look at these words and decide, which ones have I spelled correctly and which ones have a mistake.
qeen
quack
quic
Here are some of my examples of alliteration;
Ten tigers tiptoeing to tea.
Seven sharks swimming slowly.
Numeracy
These were the questions asked this week;
- Share 8 sweets equally between 4 people.
- Share 9 sweets equally between 3 people.
- Share 10 sweets equally between 3 people.
I drew pictures to help me work out the answers. Drawing pictures is a great strategy to use to help you solve a problem.
- I worked out that each person would get 2 sweets each.
- I worked out that each person would get 3 sweets each.
- I worked out that each person would get 3 each and 1 would be left over.
I hope you had fun this week and learned something new.
Have a great weekend and don’t forget it will be Tuesday next week that the weekly grid will be posted because Monday is a holiday.
