This week we visited the library for the first time this year and got books to read in school.
We had a sports event in Craigswood sport hall. The people who went were Paige, Lukasz, Chi-Chi, Kalin, Vanessa, Maxx, Chloe, Matt, Lorena, Beth and Cole. Some of the activities were Soft Javelin, High jump, Long jump, Obstacle Course, up and under, Relay Races, Chest push and an all boy and all girl races. We all had a great time.
Taylor and Preston went to Linlithgow on Thursday for the early Remembrance Day Mass Celebration to represent St. Ninian’s Primary! It was the same place that last year’s P6’s had their camp for a day. They had lots of fun!
For P.E this week we did a massive workout of our choice, the choices being legs, abs or upper body which was really fun!
We also had a fitness challenge and will try to beat our score next week.
In RE we made and presented dramas. They were about The Wedding at Cana some were really thought out and others…were NOT!
In math we made poppies out of a number grid and we had to find the coordinates. It was tricky but they looked great when finished.
In writing we wrote a news report about the end of WW1. We also analysed the poem For the Fallen and learned about the Poppy.
In Art we made pinwheel poppies it was really fun and every one enjoyed it.
I am so proud of all the children who represented our school this week at events around West Lothian. Thank you and well done!
I love that your learning this week was all based on the theme of WW1.I will pop up to read your poems and hear about your maths work too. It’s so important to keep the events of the past alive today.
