Hoorah,hoorah, it’s the holidays!

As the title suggests there has been a lot of excitement this week as the holidays approached. We have still managed to squeeze in lots of learning before the holidays begin….

It’s been revision week in literacy and numeracy to allow us time to assess our learning and decide on next steps for our final term. We have enjoyed choosing games and activities which have helped us learn, eg. Bug subtraction, The Bus Stop, digraph board games and lots more.

We liked using this song to help us learn about digraphs, click on the link to sing along with ua

In RE we have spent time learning about a very special story, The Easter Story. We have all been trying really hard to keep our Lenten promises and are looking forward to celebrating Easter with our families. We made some super ‘He is risen’ plates to show our understanding of the Easter Story.

Our structured play also had an Easter theme and we enjoyed Easter egg finger painting, making cone Spring animals, Easter themed maths playdough activities, Easter writing and Easter interactive games. On Friday we also made our own Easter bonnets.

We kept ourselves very busy during Ninian’s Natter this week – we had three stations – the kickstart station, reviewing our goals and GIRFEC wheel station and learning through technology station. Have a look in our online journals to see how we got on with reviewing our goals.

Today we celebrated achievements but also said goodbye to 2 members of our St Ninian’s family – Mrs Craig and Mrs Black. We will all miss you and wish you luck and happiness for the future!

Have a lovely holiday everyone, it has been a great term, I look forward to seeing you all on the 18th April!!!
