P2M Health Week Homework

Literacy: Finish off your reading book at home.

Topic: Check that your fire alarm in your home is working. Ask an adult to help you.

Health and Wellbeing: below are a range of different activities. You may wish to choose a different activity each day.

  1. Go to play in a local park or in your garden with an adult.
  2. Create your own daily mile – ask someone at home to help you with this.
  3. Create an assualt course in your home or in the local area. Time yourself. How long did it take you to complete it? Can you try to do it again even faster?
  4. Find a set of stairs in your house or outside. Run up and down them 5 times. How quick were you? Can you do it quicker?
  5. Go a walk in your local area. What did you see on your walk?
  6. Help someone at home make a healthy snack or meal. What did you have?
  7. Try to eat your five pieces of fruit or vegetable each day. What did you have?
  8. Try to drink your five glasses of water a day.

  1. After school Sophie went to the park with her friend and played basketball , she also did some reading and drank lots of water!

    1. Well done Sophie. Sophie really enjoyed our basketball session today and was fantastic at dribbling the ball!

  2. Michael and Richard played outside in the garden. They played tennis with their little brother Christopgher.

  3. We had great fun making our own assault course in the garden. Our best times were;
    Michael- 49 seconds
    Richard- 48 second

  4. On Monday Alexis played our in the garden for most of the afternoon and evening, doing flips on the trampoline and running .
    On Tuesday Alexis helped me make a big fruit salad and drank lots of water .and then walked to the shops and back

    1. I can imagine that you were doing some impressive flips on the trampoline Alexis. Well done for helping your mum make a fruit salad, did you enjoy it?

  5. On Monday Levente and her little sister played ball games in the park. 🙂 Levente always cares about his sister’s health and wellbeing. On Tuesday Levente and his daddy made fruit salad.It contained apple,banana,pineapple and mandarin.They mixed them with some honey.

    1. That sounds like a very tasty fruit salad, Levente. I’m sure you enjoyed playing ball games with your sister. Well done.

  6. Sophie went out to play in our garden when she came home from school. She played on the swing and the chute, then played with her basketball. She loves bouncing the ball and dribbling. She also did some reading.

  7. Sophie has been running up and down the stairs, 1 min on Monday 50 sec yesterday and 55 today. Sophie also did 120 jumps on the trampoline. Also been doing lots of reading and drinking plenty of water.

    1. Well done Sophie, 50 seconds is a very good time for running up and down the stairs. Well done for drinking plenty of water.

  8. Emily has been busy, we took a walk to the park, it was a bit damp so we didn’t stay long and went for a walk instead. As a family we all took turns running up and down the stairs and I think Emily was the fastest with the least effort. We made smiley faces with Fruit for dessert after tea and replaced juice with water for drinks throughout the day.

  10. Michael and Richard did some exercises with mum and Beth tonight. We did running on the spot, skipping, hopping, star jumps, rocket jumps and even some burpees!!! Mum was very tired after it all!😅

    1. I am very impressed Michael and Richard for managing burpees! I’m even more impressed that Mum joined in with you too – well done Mum!!

  11. Today Alexis ran the daily mile round the house and then played an energetic game of don’t let the balloon touch the floor

    1. You are really enjoying the daily mile at school Alexis, well done. I’m sure you will also enjoy the fun run today.

  12. Emily had another busy afternoon of exercise. She completed the kids workout with her sister Erin and I. It was fun and Emily managed it with ease. Emily also wanted to run up and down the stairs again to better her time and she completed it in 34.4 seconds. Emily has also been drinking lots and lots of water.

    1. I am very impressed that you wanted to beat your best ever time Emily, great work! Drinking lots of water is a great way to stay healthy.
