Good morning Primary 3! We hope that you have had a great week and enjoyed your learning. We have loved seeing all of your work on your OneNote profiles this week – we’re so proud of all the fantastic learning that you’re doing.
It is Free Writing Friday today so you may wish to spend 5 minutes writing about a topic of your choice. I think I’m going to write about endangered sea creatures as I’ve learnt so much from reading your fact files!
Reviewing our Learning
Today we are going to review our learning for the week and do some self-assessment tasks. How have you got on with your learning this week? Record your two stars and a wish for this week’s learning in your jotter or on your OneNote profile.
Literacy
Our writing task this week was to make up your own potion after reading the story of The Personality Potion. Today we would like you to review your writing using the success criteria below:
- include a title
- use capital letters and full stops
- use an adjective
- include a drawing of your potion
Read over your recount and self assess your work using the success criteria above. If you can find a pink pen or pencil you can underline in pink where you have achieved your success criteria. If you have a green pen or pencil you can underline in green an area that you would like to improve. Share your self assessment with a family member.
Maths
In Maths this week we have been learning about 2D and 3D shapes. How confident do you feel in your learning? Draw a traffic light in your jotter or use your OneNote profile to review your learning. Use the picture below to help you.
Setting Targets
When we’re in school, we always set personal targets at the beginning of the term help us to reach our potential. We always think about targets for maths, literacy and health and well-being. Have a think about what you would like to achieve this term and make a note of your goals in your jotter or on your OneNote profile. We’d love it if you could share your goals with us!
Have a great day learning and try to get outside to enjoy the sunshine too.
from Mrs Caskie and Mrs Keegan
Have a lovely weekend everyone!
