Cant believe we are into June already but what a week we have had to kick June off!
MONDAY -Children who are moving to school after the holidays were given a playtime out in the school playground to experience having snack on the go with their Buddies. Today was our last word boost story ‘The Dance of the Dinosaurs’. This has been a great success in the nursery, the statistics and improvement in language has been phenomenal.
TUESDAY – Our second NYCOS lesson was very popular, the children who took part were swinging Buzz light year around to great chuckles and laughter. The children moving on to school had a chance to be in P1 for the day and meet their new teacher.
WEDNESDAY- Children had a second day at P1. The weather put off our Welly Wednesday today, but it didn’t take our smiles.
MRS PURDIE WON HEAD TEACHER OF THE YEAR TODAY !!! A great achievement, but she’ll always be Head Teacher of every year to us x
THURSDAY – P.E was indoors, the children were to balance balloons on different body parts. This took great concentration and ‘soft hands’.
Friday – The sunshine paid us a visit so we had snack outdoors and played until it was time to celebrate Lucy’s birthday.

Amelie had a lovely time visiting the P1 classroom with her friends and was super excited to bring her own buddy bear home until after the summer holidays. She has loved learning boost words in nursery and is excited about learning more in school since she knows that her older brother gets boost words in P3. She likes to tell us about the new words that she learns in nursery and beyond. Her favourite word this week has been “scrumptious”, which is the best way to describe the cake she had to celebrate Lucy’s birthday 😍
