We have had a busy week in P7. Here are some of the things we have been doing.
Liam – we have been set a competition by St Margaret’s to work in pairs to create a meal for an astronaut for their arrival back home. This meal has to be full of protein, carbohydrates, and vitamins to help his body after being up in space. The winner gets the chance to cook this meal at St Margaret’s.
Eve – this morning the House Captain’s presented the homework presentation to the class teachers on whether to change the school’s policy on homework given out or not.
Rachael – for those of us who have returned our signed contracts, we started using AAL today during lessons. We were all given our own logins for this.
Aimee – we started covering shape in maths this week. We were looking at quadrilaterals for 2D shapes and we are just starting onto 3D shapes.
Alice – in PE this week we had a combined lesson with P6/7 and played foot golf, frisbee golf and French boules.
Liam – also during the joint class in PE, we were also running some races by House.
Dallas – for the second PE lesson this week, we were jumping hurdles and had some relay races.
Charlie – in science this week did some experiments. Some of us had highlighted that we would like to learn some chemistry so we did the Coke and Mentos experiment and a lava lamp experiment using water, vegetable oil, food colouring and a fizzy tablet. These were good fun. We were also comparing our broad bean plants which were planted a few weeks ago. Some were kept in the light and some in the dark. Most of them have grown!
Have a good weekend.
