Fairyland Ball in Primary 2!

Wow! We had such a fun day today showing off everything we have been learning for our fairyland topic.

We started the day by having one last rehearsal for our assembly, we were all bursting with excitement for this day to arrive and we have been counting how many sleeps all week!

Our assembly was fantastic, Miss Boyes was so proud of our performance. We spoke clearly with great expression and we sang beautifully to the Goldilocks and the Three bears song.

We even managed to get our family members up onto their feet at the end to sing along with us!

We loved having the opportunity to show how we have been learning different curricular areas through the fairyland theme.

This week we had a class discussion with Miss Boyes about the activities we would like to show to our parents. It was very exciting to be mini teachers for the day and show our parents how to: write a letter to the dragon, use oil pastels to draw a self-portrait as a Princess or Prince, complete fairy tale themed maths word problems and sequence the story of Goldilocks and the Three Bears.

Thank you to all of the parents and family members who came along to support Primary 2 and get involved in learning more about how we learn through our topic.

I think overall the day was a total success, many of the children have quoted that it was “the best day of their life”.

It was such a lovely way to finish another super week in Primary 2!

Unfortunately, I don’t have any photos of the children at their assembly but I have got some photos of the children showing off their activities.

Hope you all have a lovely weekend. From Miss Boyes and Primary 2!

  1. Primary 2,,,,, you should be so proud of your fantastic assembly!!!. All the nursery boy’s and girl’s sat so quietly during your performance because it was so good. Actually it’s the very first time they have EVER sat as still… because you were all brilliant, confident, clear and most of all you’ll looked like you were enjoying it, and that’s what matters. Thank you for all your hard work. Oh…we know a song about Goldilocks to, maybe we could share it with you one day. If I had a golden buzzer that when I pressed it , it would shower you all with golden dust to show everyone that you are shinning stars, I would!!!
