We have had a great week in Primary 4! We have been busy learning about the Titanic and fulfilling our mission. The Titanic is almost complete! We have been learning about the size and structure of the ship and had to use measure to design our very own display!
In writing, we made posters to advertise our ‘Queen of the Ocean’! Keep your eyes peeled for them when you next visit the school! We used rhetorical questions to capture our audience’s attention. I mean, would you like to go on the Titanic’s Maiden Voyage? Would you like a trip of a lifetime?
In maths, we have been learning how to add 10, 100 and 1000 onto whole numbers! After a little explanation, it was actually much easier than we thought! We enjoyed taking on the role of the teacher and quizzing Miss Diamond!
In Literacy we were punctuation detectives. We learned about the importance of punctuation and how it can change the meaning if it is put in the wrong place. We used magnifying glasses to search our reading books for different punctuation including exclamation marks, question marks, full stops and speech marks! Quiz us at home when we next do reading!
Have a great weekend, P4 and Miss Diamond
Punctuation knowledge very important! Loving the magnifying glass!!

Lauren is really enjoying school, great topics great teacher xx
I agree!
Well, P4. I am sooooo glad the Titanic is almost complete. I thought you were building one to size this week with the amount of paper Mrs Gardner collected. 😉
Definitely a lot of excitement in the class this week! Learning certainly made fun. Punctuation detectives sounds like a great way to learn about this important skill. Nothing worse than a missing comma …
Keep up the great work!
Jan has been having fun in learning about the titanic.
