Sair fingers all round in primary 3!

We are still working hard on our Scotland topic. At the start of the week we listened to the poem ‘The sair finger’. We practiced saying it to each other in our groups. We all found this poem so funny, it must be the Scots language! We love hearing all the funny words!

At the end of the week we had Miss Smyth and she continued with our Scotland topic and we looked at the life and times of Charles Rennie Mackintosh. We watched a wee video clip and then started to create our very own Rennie Mackintosh inspired artwork. We were very impressed with ourselves as we learned that he liked to draw using geometric shapes. So far they are looking fabulous. We’ll share them with you when we finish .

Next week we are very excited as we have some of the teachers in our school coming in to work with us, they are in for an absolute treat, as it’s technology week as well! We have a trip to West Lothian College to their engineering department! We’ll keep you posted on how our trip goes! 😃

Have a great weekend!

Miss Smyth and primary 3.

  1. You have worked very hard this week boys and girls. Miss Smyth had a huge smile on her face when she was working with you on Thursday. 🙂
