Primary 5 had a fabulous day out in Edinburgh \u00a0to end our topic on Mary Queen of Scots. We explored some of the sights on the Royal Mile including the grave of David Riccio, we visited the old royal stables, John Knox house and tried to get a bit of good luck at the Heart of Midlothian! Yuk!<\/p>\n

We then spent the afternoon at Holyroodhouse Palace learning about the life and times of Mary, examined May artefacts from that time period and even got to visit her bedroom! The point of most interest was the large blood stain on the floorboards rumoured to be the place where David Riccio, Mary\u2019s private secretary, fell after being attacked! Unfortunately photos were not allowed in the palace but we got plenty at other points in the day. It was a great day out.<\/p>\n
