How we can make ice, what we use ice for, how ice is made outside \ud83e\udd76 and how to melt ice \ud83e\uddca. To start with we made ice then put it in hot water, the ice melted before break time. The next time we put the ice \ud83e\uddca in very cold water and \u00a0the ice lasted until after lunch time! We are going to do more experiments with ice next week.<\/p>\n\n<p>During our own time some of us decided to be scientists \ud83e\uddd1\u200d\ud83d\udd2c mixing potions together \u00a0\ud83e\uddea \ud83e\uddeb . We had lots of fun exploring how different colours mix and what happens when we add a dry mixture.<\/p>\n\n<p>During topic work we were learning all about Scotlands national animal, the unicorn \ud83e\udd84. We learned what the worth mythical means and created our own unicorn coat of arms.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/blogs.glowscotland.org.uk\/wl\/stmaryspolbeth\/files\/2026\/01\/IMG_1719.jpeg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-medium wp-image-54434\" src=\"https:\/\/blogs.glowscotland.org.uk\/wl\/stmaryspolbeth\/files\/2026\/01\/IMG_1719-300x194.jpeg\" alt=\"\" width=\"300\" height=\"194\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>All of Primary 1 took home a Credit union letter, to start saving with the school and to kick start it the school will add \u00a31 to our accounts. When you open an account you get a bank book and a piggy \ud83d\udc37 bank. Those who brought in their forms enjoyed going up to the school bank to deposit their money.<\/p>\n\n<p>During outdoor learning we spent time in the outdoor classroom learning some outdoor games and building.<\/p>\n\n<p>On Wednesday we all attended out pupil voice committee groups where we are helping to be leaders in the school.<\/p>\n<p>Have a lovely \u263a\ufe0f weekend!<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Primary 1 have had lots of fun learning this week.
