Learning in P1 (w.b. 7.1.19)

Primary one have had a great week first week back and have been very busy! We have been revising our adding to 10 and counting forwards and backwards to 30, we have also been playing some games to help us with our adding and testing our counting skills.

In literacy we have learned two new sounds: l and c. We have been having a go at writing the letters and some activities help us sort the sounds. We also had our last week of show and tell and we will now be focusing on structured class talks (more information to follow next week).

In PE we have been focusing on games to help us with our listening and teamwork skills.

We have also been working with P2 on Tuesday afternoon and working in groups on a range of tasks related to Scotland, which will continue on for the rest of the term. It is helping us with our teamwork skills and developing our learning through play and active experiences.

Homework will be issued again next week so please check your child’s bag for their homework folder.

Thanks for all your continued support,

Miss McCormack
