Primary 5

What have we been up to?

Primary 5 have had a busy time practising for their class assembly. We loved sharing our learning about Dignity and Going for Gold (RRSA) with you all.

In other learning, our topic is The Titanic. We found out facts, looked at it’s journey and have researched some of it’s famous passengers. We are also learning some Morse Code! We hope you saw this on our wall display.

In Maths, we are learning about the properties of 3D shapes and their nets. We enjoyed a Building Thinking Classroom lesson based on this. We were given a picture of 16 nets and we were to work out which ones would make a cube.

We have now finished our Wordsmith novel ‘Christophe’s story’ and found so many links to our assembly theme in this!

Alongside the Rights Respecting Steering Group, we are also continuing to develop our Dog Poop Campaign! Watch out for some action on the streets of Fauldhouse soon. We were confident individuals when we talked about this at the Gold accreditation virtual visit for our Rights Respecting School Award.

This week, we have been celebrating Health week. We have loved Multi-sports with Coach Scott in the gym hall; Tennis and a scooter session with Mrs Dunn in the playground; Races at the 3G; a silent disco in the nursery; chair yoga in class and choosing to make a fruit smoothie, fruit salad or fruit pizza in the playroom. As am sure you can imagine, the silent disco was a hit but not very silent!!
