Week beginning 5th October 2026.
This week we have been working hard on presentations about the author Michael Morpurgo , whose novel “Friend or Foe” we have been studying in Literacy.
In pairs or three we will need to speak to the class for about 3 minutes using good body positioning, clear slides and good clear speaking voices.

Maths this week saw us multiplying and dividing whole numbers (and a few sneaky decimals) by 10, 100 or 1000. The place value grid was an essential tool for this and really helped our understanding and calculation. Ask us about how you use it to multiply or divide by 10/100/1000.

PE this week saw us developing our striking skills, footwork and agility in readiness for full games of Four Square.
Working our way through four stations, we practised striking against the wall, played corners, rallied and improved accuracy.

Our part of the Levenseat Project was presented to the visiting judges on Thursday and we spoke about our recycling characters.
In our topic work, we looked at two significant battle of the First World War. The Battle of the Somme and the Battle of Verdun. We ae currently turning the information into non-chronological reports.

As always, Leader in Me is an important part of our day. We really have seen some great proactivity this week.
