For European languages day, we had an input on Turkish. Even though only about 5% of Turkiye’s landmass is actually in Europe, we wanted to celebrate some of the languages actually spoken by our classmates. Evan led the whole class in a Turkish vocabulary lesson. We learned numbers to 10, some common greetings and colours. We did some research in pairs about Turkiye’s Republic Day. Ask us about this at home and see what we can remember!
In Maths, we completed some activities for Scottish Maths Week. This included an activity where we learned about some famous Scottish inventors and engineers.
We have also started practising for our assembly and we can’t wait to see our families there and then welcome them to our classroom afterwards.
