We have been making the m sound, describing how we make the m sound by closing our lips together, and explaining why the m sound is coloured red. We have also been working so hard at blending words beginning with m. Mason blended the word ‘ m-oo-n’ and was able to win the picture of the moon. We have also been using red paint to practise forming our m, and we stuck pieces of macaroni on an m template. We will be spending our short week identifying whether the m is at the start or end of a word by using our cat sticks.

Please follow p1a’s twitter page for the fantastic learning that takes place in the class : @silvanasmithou1

P1a have amazed their teacher by working so hard at learning to make the ‘m’ sound.
