On Thursday we celebrated World Book Day and we went to the Book Sale.\u00a0 In class we made bunting, designed a new front cover for a book, we had a treasure hunt to unlock the cupboard to get our book tokens and we had to Drop Everything and Read each time the special bell went off.\u00a0 The First Minister\u2019s Reading Challenge Group (P2-4) hid special reading tickets inside the books in all the classrooms and the nursery.\u00a0 Leo in P2A was the first person to find a ticket. We also got lovely new books from the PFA for each class. We brought our character spoons in to show everyone.\u00a0 Miss Stebbing was very impressed with all the creative ideas.\u00a0 Our writing this week was a partner task and we couldn\u2019t see what the other person had written. \u00a0This made it very challenging but we had some funny stories at the end.\u00a0 We now have our FMRC passports to fill in with all the books we read and when we get to 5 books then we earn a prize.\u00a0 We also get different prizes when we read more books.\u00a0 Today we had Mass with Fr Simon.\u00a0 Mrs Timmins complimented us on our respectful behaviour.<\/p>\n

Our personal learning highlights from this week are:<\/p>\n

Daisy \u2013 I liked when we made the spoon and mine was Goldilocks.<\/p>\n

Aoife \u2013 I liked hiding the special reading tickets inside the books.<\/p>\n

Natalia \u2013 I liked making the new front cover for the books.<\/p>\n

Patrick \u2013 I liked giving the new books from the PFA to all the classes.<\/p>\n

Olivier \u2013 I liked doing the treasure hunt to unlock the special cupboard.<\/p>\n

Josh \u2013 I liked when the bell was ringing to read our books.\u00a0 (We think Mrs Egan liked doing this too especially at the end of the day!)<\/p>\n

Sam \u2013 I liked giving out the books to all the class.\u00a0 I helped to tie the ribbon on to the books.<\/p>\n
