It was great to see your fantastic work yesterday and I know that lots of you took part in our virtual Sports Day Challenge.\u00a0 Today we are going to do some Numeracy and Literacy.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Numeracy<\/strong> &#8211; <strong>Our number of the day is\u00a0 78 923<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Starter<\/strong> &#8211; Look at the starter slide and complete as many of the questions as you can.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Task1 &#8211;\u00a0<\/strong> Your task is to accurately add sums of money using the written method , a valuable skill when it comes to checking bills in the real world! Choose a mild, spicy or hot sheet to complete and challenge yourself to solving the money problems too! Look at the PowerPoint and perhaps try some of the tasks and examples. Next, carefully read Bleezer&#8217;s Ice Cream poem and use alliteration to describe each layer of the ice cream cone e.g Mustard Mango Melon Munch. You can use the word bank provided or make up your own. Remember all your words must start with the sane letter. Complete your work on the template provided or in your jotters.
