P1B highlights:<\/p>\n
Jude – “I liked when we made goals for 2020.” The children learned that in the new year, people like to make promises to themselves to help them be a better person.\u00a0 These are called ‘New Year Resolutions’.\u00a0 We watched a clip on YouTube showing footballers scoring goals.\u00a0 Sometimes they got the ball into the net and sometimes they didn’t but kept trying.\u00a0 We then set our own goals and know to keep trying if we fail.\u00a0 As we tried to score a goal in a basket, we shouted out our goal.\u00a0 P1B had some super ideas!\u00a0 We then wrote about them.\u00a0 Good luck P1B trying to achieve your goals.\u00a0 I know you can do!<\/p>\n
Shelby – “I liked looking at the picture of Jude’s new little sister.”\u00a0 Congratulations to Jude on becoming a big brother again!\u00a0 Baby Martha made her entrance into the world over the Christmas holidays.\u00a0 What a present!\u00a0 She is beautiful and we wish Jude and his family and big Congratulations from P1B.<\/p>\n
Amelia – Amelia told us that she liked playing with the baby dolls.\u00a0 Amelia liked dressing and undressing them.\u00a0 We will be learning how to take care of a baby in the Spring and fingers crossed will have a real life baby come to visit us!<\/p>\n
Stefi – “I liked making boats.\u00a0 Mine sunk.”\u00a0 The children have been learning about the story of Noah’s Ark this week.\u00a0 We followed this up with making our own boats.\u00a0 We had origami paper boats, boats made from plastic bricks and boats made from plasticine.\u00a0 Only the paper boats sailed.\u00a0 We learned about something called ‘density’.\u00a0 High density means it will sink and low density means it will float.<\/p>\n
Mrs Devlin’s Highlight –\u00a0 My highlight of the week was seeing the children again on Tuesday.\u00a0 I believe they have all grown!\u00a0 It was so nice to hear the goals they have set themselves for the year ahead!\u00a0 I hope you all had a lovely Christmas and a peaceful New Year!<\/p>\n
