Complete in your jotter or on paper.\u00a0 https:\/\/mathsstarters.net\/numoftheday\/<\/a><\/p>\n Literacy<\/u><\/p>\n Today, we are going to learn about Similes and Metaphors. https:\/\/www.bbc.co.uk\/bitesize\/topics\/zfkk7ty\/articles\/z9tkxfr<\/a><\/p>\n A Simile is when we compare one thing to something else e.g. Zak is as brave as a Lion. It tends to use \u2018as\u2019 and \u2018like\u2019.<\/p>\n A Metaphor is when you describe something as being another thing e.g. Sophie thinks books are the key to your imagination.<\/p>\n Play a game to complete the similes https:\/\/www.englishclub.com\/esl-games\/vocabulary\/matching-similes-9.htm<\/a><\/p>\n Maths<\/u><\/p>\n Today, we are going to think about adding and subtracting money amounts.<\/p>\n When we add and subtract money we use exactly the same strategies we would use when adding and subtracting any number. The main difference is that our pound amounts will have a decimal point.
