I really enjoyed seeing your fantastic work yesterday! Today we are going to start with Numeracy and Writing!<\/p>\n<p><strong>Numeracy\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Starter\u00a0<\/strong> Look at the starter slide and try to answer the questions. They should get you thinking ready for your division calculations.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Division Task\u00a0<\/strong> Look at the Division PowerPoint and it explains what a remainder means. When you have looked at all the slides carefully and\u00a0 think you understand what to do, then choose a mild, spicy or hot task to complete. Remember to show all your working for each calculation and lay your work out neatly !<\/p>\n<p><strong>Extension Task &#8211;\u00a0<\/strong>Create your own word problems using division and remainders for a family member to complete. ( Sarah bought 18 squidges online from Amazon during the lockdown. She shared them equally among four\u00a0 friends, put them into individual boxes and sent them through the Royal Mail to their\u00a0 home address. Watch the YouTube clip which creates a mind- map of ideas to include in your story.\u00a0 Consider the following questions. What would they wear ? What gadgets would they use? What subjects would they study ? What would the teachers be like? What would the building be like ? etc\u00a0 Write your story as a diary entry , telling the story as a child who has just arrived at the Ninja school !\u00a0 Use\u00a0 the diary entry checklist to help you. Let your imagination go wild and post your fantastic writing on your PLP.
